Marco Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing these past few weeks has been very good. Snook and redfish are at just about every turn. I have been catching them in the front, middle islands, and even in the back bays.
Live bait, lures, jigs, and flies have all been taking their fair share of fish. Fall is usually a good time to get out on the water in our area. The fall migration is still happening and small baitfish are sizzling on just about every current swept point. You just don't know what you are going to catch. Mackerel are moving in and swiping baits as well. I have been catching a few large loner trout where you might expect to catch snook.
Snook and redfish are hanging out together on points and fallen bushes. Exposed oyster bars are yielding good fish as well. Now is the time to get out and get in on some of the action before the real serious cold fronts of winter hit. I'll see you on the water.
