Reds are schooling
A lot of scouting and exploring.
Red fish have been schooling pretty darn good lately. Big bulls are closer to the passes while nice slot sizes are everywhere else. This last week I have seen a lot of Jack Crevalle tearing up the flats and they are some good sized ones at that. Along with them I've ran into schooling Reds tearing up the flats also. I've ran into a mix bag of Jacks and reds running in the same areas. One client pulls in a nice size Jack and the other pulls in a 25 inch Red fish at the same time. I've been using pin fish, cut and live, cut mullet and ladyfish. White bait has been catching everything from Jacks, reds, snook and snapper depending on the sizes.
If the wind ever dies down I will be hitting up Charlotte harbor for Spanish mackerel, cobia and Tarpon while also trying to find the threadfins for bait. From past years reporting we are coming into some great fishing for the next several months.
As always if you see me out there Say Hi and where you know me from. I am an extremely nice guy and a bit reserved and don't really talk unless spoken too.
