Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

On a sunny and calm Saturday, five South Florida guys took the Blue Waters 2 for a fun four hour fishing trip.
Luckily the crew had taken the boat and captured bait the day before. The crew tried for more bait at the stanchion, but there were none to be had. The customers had requested action fishing but really wanted to capture a sailfish. The crew set up the spread for fast trolling and headed south on the edge of the third reef. A few nice sized kingfish and bonitos were captured on the troll to the south.
When Captain John finally found the edge he was looking for, the trolling gear came in and the kite was fired out. Their effort was rewarded when a nice sailfish attacked the long kite bait and the fight was on. The fish was captured at the boat and successfully released. The kite also produced a pair of gaffing size dolphin on the live bait. All too soon it was time to go home.
