Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Holidays are fast approaching or already upon us and I have been so busy guiding that I have hardly had a chance to do any shopping. If you are still looking for a gift for a friend or relative and really want to put a smile on their face then purchase a Gift Certificate from "Get Em" Sportfishing Charters skippered by Capt. Alan Sherman.
Fishing in Biscayne Bay has been very good with lots of action from Spanish and cero mackerel, groupers, mutton, mangrove and yellowtail snappers, porgies, all of the blue runners and jacks you can shake a stick at and some nice size sea trout for catch and release. Launching at Crandon Park Boat ramp we are fishing in just a matter of minutes and most of the action is taken place on light tackle.

Flamingo in Everglades National Park is loaded with all kinds of wildlife. Recently within minutes of a charter my clients are seeing manatees, bottle nosed dolphins, tarpon, alligators, crocodiles and more birds then I can name. Just amazing! Once out on open water there are big sharks to be seen and sea turtles. Then just for a little added spice the fishing has been great. Snook and sea trout for catch and release and redfish and tarpon can be targeted within a 10 minute ride of the Marina and further out on the edges of the Park goliath grouper, Spanish mackerel, jacks, ladyfish and cobia and some monstrous sharks are there for the waiting.

Offshore fishing when the weather allows has been excellent with sailfish, mackerel, kingfish, bonito, skip jack tuna, big snapper and grouper and dolphins being caught everyday.
So let's go fishing! Give me a call or send me an e-mail and lets see what kind of a memory we can create!

I have recently been wearing a lot of Columbia Sports Wear on my fishing charters and the new Blood & Guts shirts are amazing. I have had mackerel, cobia and snook just splatter me with blood and one good washing and the shirts are as good as new. Check out their web site at www.columbia.com
