Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
A fun loving group escaping Washington DC for a birthday celebration booked the Blue Waters 2 for an afternoon charter. The bite that morning was common bonitos mixed in with a fun blackfin tunas. Capt John started out trolling chasing birds that were over skip jack tunas. The fish were feasting on small "minnow like" baits and the lures got ignored. John kept maneuvering the spread ahead of the splashing fish and was rewarded with catching several skip jacks.
John took the boat in shallower and soon they were knee deep in bonito bites - in the midst of the bonitos were some nice size blackfins. Changing lures several times, the mate captured several blackfins and in the boat they came. The birthday man and all the friends captured the fish.
Back at the dock, the blackfins were filleted and the happy and hungry birthday party had dinner at the outdoor bar and grill right behind the boat. We still have plenty of open days during the Labor Day weekend. Give us a text (305-333-7921) or a call or email and we will get you booked.
