Good Bite Continues!

Capt. Orlando Muniz
November 16, 2008
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

On my last report I mentioned how all of the early cold fronts have sparked good action. Offshore sailfish, dolphin (mahi) are dominating the scene. Closer inshore kingfish and spanish mackerel seem to be everywhere. The best thing about all of this is that most of the fish are being caught just a short run from each other. Most of the dolphin are being caught while targetting sails along the edge.

On days when the winds have been howling we have fount a great mackerel bite in the bay. This type of fishing is great for youngsters and those that don't enjoy rough seas. Another nice thing about this type of fishing is that you feel every single head shake and sizzling run. Light tackle makes this a lot of fun for all of those involved. Even anglers that enjoy casting flies or artificials can get in on this action.

Today, I'm sitting at home watching the football game and itching to get out. Our latest cold front just pushed through last night bringing a dip in the mercury and a pretty stiff breeze. Once this front passes the bite should fire up once again. If you're thinking about getting out there, give me a call (786)266-0171 so that we can plan your trip. Below are some pictures taken last week both inshore and offshore.
