Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

Blackfin tuna continue to make many anglers very happy.
Boris and Zair Fishkin from Buffalo, NY got to see kite fishing for the first time today.
With the wind from the ESE @ 13 – 17 knots we had perfect kite flying conditions.
All of our action was in the 100 – 170 foot range.
Our first hit was a large barracuda that cut off our leader as I was not using a wire leader.
A quick retie with wire and this time it was a 13 pound blackfin tuna on the wire leader rig.
The next hit came about 10 minutes later and this time it was a 24 pound blackfin tuna.

The motion of the ocean was getting to one of the anglers so we called it a half day as we had plenty of fresh tuna for dinner.
Remember to use frisky fresh live bait to get the hits you're looking for.
