Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

A father and son team booked the Blue Waters 2 for several all-day fishing charters. The dolphin bite was consistent about 14 miles offshore with large patches of Sargassum weed.
On the second day, John Anthony put a sea witch on a bonita strip and sent it out on the 10/0 wire line. At about 2 miles off, the line started to peal out. The angler started to wind and the wire started to come in. Ten feet before the leader reached the rod tip, Captain John saw a lit-up neon pectoral fin - it was a blue marlin!
John Anthony pulled in the leader carefully and then he billed the fish. After a quick picture, the fish was released. The day's fishing also resulted in about 20 keeper dolphin and the thrill of the Master of the Sea. Two very happy anglers and crew returned to the dock with the blue marlin release flag flying.
