Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have had good sailfish and mahi action in 75 to 325 feet of water for weeks, and it should stay that way for a few more weeks. The sailfish have ranged from 8 to 12 pound babies to 60 pound fighters. The mahi have all been keepers and some are over 25 pounds. If these fish are showering ballyhoo, you may need to go catch some live ballyhoo to get in on the action.
Bottom fishing has been slow, but as temperatures drop this fishing should pick up.
Spanish mackerel have been great if the wind is up or the water is cloudy, but the water is clear you have to fish dawn or dusk for this action.
We did our first tarpon season of the season this week. We caught fish of 30 and 85 pounds and jumped two more the same sizes. Grab some live shrimp and enjoy these fish all winter.
Miami Fishing Forecast:

Look for all the above action for weeks to come.
Get your deep drop tackle ready as tilefish season opens January 1st as grouper season closes.
