Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather finally broke leaving us fairly calm seas and cooler less humid days. We ran several charter trips this week. There have been frigate birds offshore, but mostly they are over skipjack tunas and a few scattered dolphin.
The most active rod has been the planner rod with either a 3-1/2 drone spoon or seawitch with a strip of bait. These lures have hooked the skipjacks, larger single dolphin, kingfish, and even small regular bonitas. Groups have been asking for action and action they got. Even found a large barracuda on the long rigger with a ballyhoo. Several boats have captured wahoos but we are still looking for our first this month.

Lots of dates open so call and let's get offshore.
