Fall Fishing Kicking into Gear

Capt. John Barker
October 29, 2015
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

It seems like fall fishing is trying to kick into gear. The other afternoon the herring bit at the stantion and the crew of the Blue Waters 2 found the edge and sent out the kite and rigger baits. The first bite was dolphin, four in total, gaffer size. Finally, on the kite a 5 foot sailfish chased a kite bait until he gobbled it. The line came tight and the fight was on. The angler was hooked-up on a spinning rod setup and had the time of his life fighting that fish. The sailfish was released at the boat and a celebratory round of beverages was had on the way in.
