Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have seen a big improvement in the fishing over the last couple of weeks.
Sailfish numbers have greatly increased, with several days with multiple catches. Just yesterday we caught 4 sailfish, a 45 pound wahoo, a tuna, 2 kingfish, 2 mutton snappers, 2 sharks and 2 barracudas.

We have been really lucky with the wahoo. We caught 3 up to 58 pounds over the last couple of weeks. All of these have been on live bait - two on the kite and one down deep.

We had a real surprise last week when we caught a 150 pound Goliath grouper on a live ballyhoo fished on the bottom.

Our top catch over the last couple of weeks was a beautiful white marlin.

If all this is not enough, how about the fact we are finally seeing good volumes of tarpon. Our last evening trip we caught 3 big tarpon and went home early.
Look for our best sailfish and tarpon fishing of the year over the next couple of months - if we get our annual March run.
