Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

We left at dawn to fish the back country of Flamingo. Unfortunately there was a west wind witch implies that dirty water would be hard to escape. We got to our first spot and the catching began although trophy fish were hard to come by. Our clients were stoked regardless and capitalized during tough conditions. We caught a mixed bag of species on live shrimp and bucktails. We hooked into a nice lemon shark as well but pulled the hook. In addition we ran into a school of porpoises that put on a show.

Conditions were tough but it was a beautiful day on the water and we our share of fish.
Final Tally 4 redfish, 10 trout to 24 inches, some jacks, ladyfish, and catfish.
Miami Fishing Forecast:

Cold fronts are few and far in between which means fishing should be improving. This report was from right after a front (tough time to fish) and the fish were still around. It has already heated up again and with the southeast wind pattern, the action should be on fire in Flamingo. The now is a great time to get out there with the next few months being good as well.
Target Species:

snook, trout, tarpon, redfish, jacks, ladyfish, sheepshead, black drum, and more
