Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
During my last tarpon trip at Haulover, the fish have finally moved out of the area. We caught lots of other fish including bluefish, ladyfish, Spanish mackerel, and jack crevalle.
So it's time to move down to Government Cut.
Edward and Billy went two for two on their tarpon trip.
The Graffia Family also went two for two on their evening tarpon trip.
Drew and Andrew were two for two on their tarpon trip. There seems to be a pattern developing.
Bob, Julie, Will, and Taylor fished offshore. Will caught his first sailfish. Taylor caught a dolphin (mahi-mahi) which was her first saltwater fish.
Debbie caught her first tarpon. The first fish we had on jumped off on its second jump. We moved into the bay where she caught the next one. Another move in the bay produced another tarpon that gave us our hook back on its first jump.
Robert, Steve, and Tucker caught bluefish, ladyfish, and jack crevalle. We also had three tarpon on. Every fish came unglued. The tarpon were getting their revenge on this night.
Cy and Phil had to wait out the tarpon till after 9:00 pm before we finally zeroed in on their location. After that, the action was steady. We had five fish hooked and successfully landed and released two.
That's it for now. I start back tarpon fishing tomorrow night for the next 6 days. I'll update when I get a chance.
