Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

The dolphin/mahi action offshore continues to be quite productive. Find the Sargasso weed lines and big patches along with bird activity and you'll find the mahi.
The size has ranged from throwbacks to 10 pounds. They are eating small live baits and jigs. Once you find a school, the action is fast and furious. Just remember to be sure that they meet the 20" minimum lower jaw to fork of tail requirement.
Ed, Barry, Mark, and Richard fished a 3/4 day and got into the dolphin action in the 14 to 18 mile range. Mixed in with the mahi were plenty of bar jacks and large bluerunners. Final total of mahi was 35.

A Family that fishes together is going to have fun and quality time together. Stu, Bard, and Alex represented three (3) generations of fishermen. The first group of dolphin/mahi were under birds in 850'. After that we fished the big patches and lines in the 14 - 19 mile range.
We caught 35 dolphin and kept 8 for dinner. We also added 2 rainbow runners and an assortment of bar jacks and bluerunners.

There is still time to get in on the actions offshore. Give me a call or email me to set up your trip.
