Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
Let's start this report with the offshore action in Miami/Miami Beach. The most consistent fishing still remains plenty of action with kingfish. Throw in an AJ or sailfish or blackfin tuna to round things out. When the wind has blown from the east for several days, the mahi-mahi show up in close. Otherwise, mahi fisherman have been search offshore to catch some.
Casey, Jacob, Ashley, and Jenna took advantage of the good kingfish action on their half day trip. Total catch was 6 kingfish and 1 blackfin tuna.
Moving inshore to catch the mighty silver king and you won't be disappointed. The fish have shown up in good numbers and they're feeding well. Yes, you can catch them during the daytime, however, they feed much more readily during the evening and after dark. You just never know what size fish you'll hook, so be ready for a fight with a fish that will test your angling skills and physical condition.
The DiMaggio Family found out how exciting tarpon fishing is. We had calm seas, beautiful weather, a good shrimp run, tarpon popping the shrimp, and plenty of action. By the end of the trip, we were 4 for 8 on tarpon in the 30 - 90 pound class.
