Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

A visiting family from Atlanta booked the Blue Waters 2 for a morning trip. The sole purpose of the trip was to catch some action fish for the 6 year old son. The family had never fished saltwater before. Sounds easy - just visit the bait spots and break out the sabiki rods. So the crew did just that - and the bait had lockjaw. Not even a pinfish bite.
So, phase two was initiated and the fast trolling spread was launched and the boat pointed south. The troll south produced some summer time bonitas. When the boat got to Captain John's favorite deep dropping spot, the deep dropping rig was deployed. The efforts were rewarded with three nice tilefish. Reaching the limit, Captain John trolled the edge back to the north and was rewarded with a frisky wahoo on the planner. One more bonita bite and it was time to wrap up the action and head back to the dock.

Dolphin season is quickly arriving - book the Blue Waters 2 and come and have some fun on the water.
