Quick Update

Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
Here is a quick update for the month of September. The fishing has fluctuated between slow and good. The past couple of weeks the weather has been extremely unsettled. The fishing has sort of reflected this weather pattern. One day the fishing is good the next it is a slow pick. Some days we have had good weather, a good north current and we have caught blackfin tunas, bonitos, and kingfish. Other days we have had no current, green water and a slow pick of fish. Most, but not all, reports that you read only talk about one or two specific days that they fished. I try to give you a sense of the overall action going on, the good, the bad, and the ugly. One of the good things going on is that that September, October, and November are some of the best months for mutton snapper and bottom fishing in general so hopefully in my next report you will see some nice pictures of the beautiful and tasty fish. The dolphin fishing has been ok with a lot of small fish and some bigger keeper fish mixed in. In on the reef the kingfish, bonitos, sharks, and bottom fish have filled in the gap when the conditions have been right. The fishing should only start to get better and more consistent the closer we get to the winter months. Another great thing that is coming up is the fall mullet run. With the mullet run all bets are off and you could encounter sharks, snook, jack cravelles, and tarpon all feasting on the mullet. Well that is all for now, until next time.
Best of Luck…
