Miami, Florida - Offshore

Capt. Mark Houghtaling
October 16, 2004
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

Its been a while since I submitted a fishing report, but that will soon change. I will be taking delivery of my new 31 Contender probably the first of November and she will be awesome. Just in time for the winter season and none too soon. Im going crazy being shorebound. However I do have a new flats boat that has been tempering my fishing enthusiasm. The new boat has all the latest electronics and is rigged for live bait offshore fishing.

I have heard that the south parts of Biscayne Bay are loaded with pilchards. One throw with the net will give you all you want for a week! Also there was a report of spanish mackerel around Feather Bed Bank. A few sailfish are starting to show up along the edge of the reef as well as kings and dolphin. Get ready because it's only going to get better.

Stay Hooked!
