Saltwater Fishing Report
Part Two:
Before I start my latest fishing update I would like everyone to go to Get Em Sportfishing Charters on Facebook and like my page. Thanks!
Now to the fishing!
The fishing in South Florida continues veto be outstanding.
Offshore anglers are having great success with sailfish, kingfish, a few dolphins, wahoo and blackfin tuna.
North Biscayne Bay continues to produce a good amount of sea trout, jacks, ladyfish, pompano, bluefish, mackerel, a few snook and tarpon. Shrimp have started to run in the Bay.
South Biscayne Bay and the patches are producing lots of groupers for catch and release and a good amount of legal yellowtail, mangrove, lane and mutton snappers plus porgies, mackerel, blueish, pompano, snook, and jacks and bluerunners.
Flamingo in Everglades National Park has been outstanding with large numbers of snook, redfish and black drum being caught. Sheepshead, gag groupers, snappers, sea trout, snappers, jacks and ladyfish are also biting the hooks and in the open waters of the Gulf lots of Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia and pompano are biting live shrimp.
Today we are fishing in Flamingo with Norman, his son Stephen and 6 year old grandson Eidan for six hours. The weather is perfect and the wildlife seems to be everywhere. Using live shrimp hooked to a Hookup lure and under a Cajun Thunder float the guys caught nine redfish, trout, jacks, ladyfish, snappers and saw three American crocodiles with one being over 14 feet long.

Today I am with Jerry and his grandsons Jake and Spencer in South Biscayne Bay. Once again bait was in abundance but with warm water conditions the fishing in the Finger Channels was slow. By the end of the trip the boys had caught Spanish mackerel, four gag groupers, one black grouper, jack crevalles and barracudas..
Back in Flamingo today with Steve, his son Zach and Zach's grandfather Len. I haven't fished with Zach in quite a few years and he grew quite a bit. Since the last time I saw him he has really honed his fishing skills and acquired a nice arsenal of tackle. After a great day on the water the guys caught six black drum, one sheepshead, jacks, ladyfish, snapper, 20 redfish and a snook and saw two American crocodiles.

Today I am part of a five boat charter in North Biscayne Bay. Baitfish once again is in good supply. I have Janice, Sheila and Marianne. The girls have fished with me two other times in Flamingo but on this day the whole group decided to fish the Bay. The girls are great fishermen and Sheila is a feisty 80+ year old. We had a great time watching Sheila reel one fish in after another then take a five minute break just to do it all over again for six hours. By the end of the day the girls had released over 60, sea trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, barracudas, jacks and lizard fish.
Today I am with Jessie and his grandson David in North Biscayne Bay. After having such a great day two days earlier I was excited for the guy's today. After filling the live wells with pilchards we worked hard to catch only a few small kingfish, bluefish, trout, barracudas, and jacks and had shots at a few snook that were not interested.
Today I am in South Biscayne Bay with Stan and granddaughter nine year old Lindsey and Phil and his granddaughter 9 year old Ella. The grandfathers lent a hand and the gals caught fish until their arms were sore. Total catch in four hours was five Spanish mackerel, 10 bluerunners, 10 mangrove snappers plus jacks, and bluerunners.
Back in South Biscayne Bay with Steve and Seth. Bait once again was available in good numbers and I filled the live wells in no time. Once out to the fishing grounds the guys had non-stop action from red groupers to eight pounds, black groupers, gag groupers, mutton snappers, yellowtails to 14 inches, mangrove snappers to 14 inches, lane snappers to 14 inches, bar jacks and porgies.

Took Al a good buddy of mine out into South Bay for some fun on a beautiful day! Caught plenty of bait and headed to the fishing grounds. As beautiful as it was the fishing was dead and we managed only a few small yellowtails, small red and black groupers plus a nice seven pound red grouper on the last day of the grouper season.

Today I am back on Daddy's Toy for our last outing before the boat heads back to Puerto Rico. On board is Sender, his sons Mark, Robert and Andrew, Cousin Brian and friend Brett. The weather is beautiful and moon is almost full. Once to the fishing grounds the guys caught and ate so much fish that I'm sure they won't want to fish for a while r maybe not! The boys landed there wahoo between 16 and 23 pounds, three dolphins between 12 and 21 pounds, blackfin tuna, cero mackerel, amberjacks, almoco jacks, sharks, barracudas, black, yelloweye, blackfin and yellowtail snappers plus bluerunners, silver margates and ocean tally's.
