Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
The days pass so fast when the Holidays are here and getting out new fishing reports becomes a much more difficult thing to do. I hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season and I hope everyone's New Year is a great and safe one!
This report will be short and to the point because I must get up at the crack of dawn and get an early start to another great day fishing in South Florida.
Fishing in North Biscayne Bay is very good for sea trout and there season reopens on January 1st. Four per person with one fish over 20 inches and the rest must be at least 15 inches in length. A few snook, tarpon, jacks, Spanish mackerel, bluefish and groupers are biting in the Bay as well. Grouper season closes on the 1st of January.
Offshore fishing has been very good with Spanish mackerel, kingfish to 15 pounds, big bonitos, dolphins and a lot of sailfish.
South Biscayne bay took a step backward from what it was a few weeks ago but should snap back any day. Look for snapper, grouper, jacks, porgies, mackerel, bluefish and pompano in the channels.
Flamingo has been red hot with action. Loads of sea trout, big ladyfish and jacks on all of the Grass Flats. Redfish and a few snook are along the mangrove shorelines, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, tripletail and cobia are on the outside of the Park Boundaries and at times the action has been non stop. Gag and goliath grouper, black drum and sheepshead and snappers are in good numbers in the rivers and creeks.
Well that catches us up for now.
Give me a call and let s get schedule a fishing trip of a lifetime. 786-436-2064

I have recently been wearing a lot of Columbia Sports Wear on my fishing charters and the new Blood & Guts shirts are amazing. I have had mackerel, cobia and snook just splatter me with blood and one good washing and the shirts are as good as new. Check out their web site at www.columbia.com
