Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report
Recently, a family booked the Blue Waters 2 for a six hour trip. The star of the show was a young man who loves to catch small fish in the Carolinas. There was no current for live baiting so out same the trolling outfits including a Penn 10/0 with wire line and a 3-1/2 drone spoon behind a #6 planner and sea witch.
Right away the wire line cracked and our young customer was on the reel. He couldn't believe the size of the bonita he captured! The reef action was hot and everyone captured a few bonitas each, a blackfin tuna, a blue runner and one kingfish. The crew took a stab further offshore, but the deeper waters were a blank.
With smiling faces and tired arms, the crew headed home. The kingfish was steaked for dinner and pictures were taken all around. They'll be back for sailfish season if their work brings them back to Miami.
