Tarpon Fishing and Boat Build Update

Capt. Dave Kostyo

Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

While the progress on my new Whitewater 28 is moving along rapidly, I also did a tarpon trip at Haulover.

We started off with a ladyfish on the first drift. The second drift had us getting 1 jump from a tarpon and a Spanish mackerel.

The third drift was the charm and Jason was hooked up solid to his first tarpon. He definitely picked on a mean, nasty, and big one. It was a back and forth seesaw battle. After a 1 hour and 20 minute fight, Jason prevailed and the tarpon was released.

Progress on the new KNOT NANCY is getting closer and closer to completion. There are a lot of custom features being incorporated in the new boat. Once it gets delivered, it'll be full speed ahead.
