Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have worked our way through a long hot summer and now look forward to an exciting fall and winter.
We had some good catches of mahi mahi in the weeks prior to our hurricane scare. July offered several days of sailfish action and the late season tarpon run was good.
But now let's look to the coming months. The mullet and pilchards are running down the beaches and some big schools of baby sardines are showing up offshore. The inshore bait produces tarpon , snook , jacks and other assorted game fish. The offshore bait brings bonitos and wahoo, with the possibility of sailfish.
Look forward to the first runs of Spanish mackerel, ballyhoo schools drawing mahi back near shore and the best swordfish action of the year.
