Mosquito Lagoon Gator Trout and Redfish!!

Capt. Tim Masten
April 7, 2008
Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The morning started off with the lowest of expectations, as the weather was predicted to be somewhat rainy and very windy from the northeast. Neither were in our favor to aid in accomplishing our mission of putting some Redfish and Trout in the boat.

On our first stop, we selected topwater lures to attrack some of the nice Trout that I have seen recently. Not long into the trip, Frank lands a solid 4lber that smashed the plug!

On our second stop, we bumped up several schools of slot sized Redfish, but could not get them to eat. Instead, Frank manages to boat this healthy 6lb. Gator Trout!

The rest of the day, the guys worked hard casting at Redfish after Redfish. They managed to bring several to the boat. Joe displays a tough fighter!

It was a Great Day on the water, with 2 quality anglers and really nice guys.

April is shaping up to be a great fishing month! Book your trip now!
