Mosquito Lagoon Redfish and Trout!!

Capt. Tim Masten
April 2, 2008
Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather has really been co-operating as of late. Today we had light winds from the East and for the most part sunny skies. The Redfish are on the flats and so are the Gator Trout.
We must have seen 30 different Trout between 4 and 8 lbs. These fish are very aware of their surrounds and are often seen but not caught. Not today!

A nice 4.5 lb Trout for the dinner table!

This 12lb. Redfish, did not want anything to do with the boat and put up quite an impressive fight.

The fish are out there! Let's go fishing!

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Forecast:

As we leave March behind and step into April, the fishing only gets better abd better. The cold fronts that brought the howling winds of March are a thing of the past and as the water warms the return of the mullet will trigger the already active fish to feed.
April is a great time of the year to fish!!

Target Species:

Redfish, Trout and Snook
