Redfish

Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The past week has produced awesome results from the Mosquito Lagoon. With the recent change in temps and water levels the fish have been on the move. Switching from fishing 1-2 feet to fishing extreme shallows has proved to be effective. Push/sight fish fish banks and shore lines with sand holes/potholes. I have been using either cut mullet or live shrimp. With a strong breeze I like to cast freely a Gulp Shrimp pattern. Topwater has also been doing very well for trout.

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Forecast:

With the recent rain the past day and today the water levels are most likely to rise again for a bit. However this should allow some new places to fish.
