Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spent the morning with Craig Mauritz of Pennsylvania today. He had only caught a few beach Snook before, so I was anxious to put him on fish. The conditions for the first couple hours were not very good (dirty water and waves), but he stuck a few blindcasting a plug. As I thought, conditions finally improved mid-day and he had some great sightfishing. Craig ended up with around a dozen fish landed, including his first Snook on fly and a few more lost. Nothing big, but who cares when youre sightfishing! Action slowed around the time we left, as the sun was high and tide lowering quickly. I had a great time w/ Craig and hope to see him again sometime!

Naples Fishing Forecast:

Fishing will be good all summer as long as the east winds dominate.

Target Species:

Snook
