Naples /Marco fishing remains hot

Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

May fishing never disappoints. If you're looking for a bigger quality fish and lots of action this is the month to be on the water. Marco island and Naples Florida's backcountry and inshore fishing has such a variety of fish to target. We can be targeting snook but also have redfish , sea trout , Goliath grouper, mangrove snapper, & Jack crevalle all in the mix . This type of fishing is very exciting as you never know what you're gonna catch on any given cast. Live bait is still my go to when targeting these bigger fish . Very important to spend the time to catch bait as this will ensure an action packed morning. For my Fly fishermen look to the beaches for cruising fish. Make sure to take your time and roll down the beach slowly while looking for your targets. Make a well place cast in front of the fish in his cone of vision and strip it through the zone. Don't forget to keep your head on a swivel as big tarpon will be cruising down beaches to . Get out of the house and enjoy some time on the water .
