Nearshore Fishing Report

October 27, 2016

Conditions have been less than ideal the past week with strong winds out of the ENE at 20 knots the Gulf has been rough and we have been unable to go as far offshore as we would like. The water temp has been falling fast as well with the cooler weather and was at 74 yesterday. We were out on charters on both Sunday and Monday and after attempting to run offshore both crews elected to run in and fish some of our nearshore spots. There are some nice fish in the nearshore areas and you don't always have to run out a long distance. On Wednesday I took my grandfather out for a couple hours and we ended up getting into some nice Gag Grouper in only 30 FOW...the action was by no means fast, but the biggest one measured 34" and is going to be dinner tonight

More Fishing Reports:

We fish the offshore waters of Naples, Bonita Springs, and Ft. Myers Beach. All our charters are on our 30' Intrepid Center Console powered by twin 2017 250 HP Mercury Outboard which allows us to get to the fishing areas fast and in comfort. Species of fish that you can except to encounter on our charters depend on the time of year, but include: Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, Snook, Sheepshead, Shark, King Fish, Goliath Grouper, and more.
