Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report
Chilly Fishing this week has sent are fish a reelin!
Good weather ahead fishing should come back.
Not a lot of fishing going on this week with coldest of season temps. For the anglers that did venture out they found the fish a little less than aggressive, but still willing to bite even through the cold. Snook fishing took a backseat to Ladyfish, Trout, Jacks, and Bluefish this week. There were scattered Reds thrown in for some added fishing pleasure. Key to finding these fish find the deepest channels cuts and bends in creeks from Naples to Everglades City. If you heart is set on Snook then look to the creeks you know have some springs bubbiling up in them like Palm River, Blackwater, or the Faka Union Canal, there the Snook will still bite along with Jacks and possibly even a Tarpon or two. Just be careful where you run this week there is some very low water out there and it could be hazardous to your lower unit and to you. Going toward Marco the other day I saw a boat try to run across a bar and the three people that were in the boat were all thrown right out the front. Thank God the Boat stopped on the Bar. If you are not sure of the water depth error on the cautious side and slow down. Well I hope next time I will have a much more cheerful report and OH I almost forgot happy Thanksgiving. Good Casting Roan z
PS. I hope to see you all at the Renzetti Fly Show in Titusville Next Saturday the 2nd of December. I will be at the TFO Booth.
