Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report
Fishing still as hot this week as last. Large TArpon in the River and on the Beaches. Snook seem to be everywhere.
Fished a little bit of everything this week, Bait, Plug, and Fly. I couldn't seem to find a way not to catch fish. I hope this continues throughout the summer. Snook seem to be everywhere from the Beaches to the Backcountry Rivers and Creeks. The majority are close to the passes and the outside. I think you can pick a pass or a river mouth from Tampa to Cape Haze and you are going to find Snook.
Tarpon are a little more scattered but with the rains we are supposed to get over the next couple of days they should start to bunch up too. Finding some small schools on the beaches and a fair number in the passes. The Backcountry fish are a little more difficult with the lack of freshwater but if you take your time and be patient you can catch a couple.
If you want to beat the sun, Night fishing around the lighted docks especially close to the passes are yielding lots of Snook and some nice Tarpon.
Redfish seem to be almost everywhere, we caught a couple per trip this past week from the Backs of the Creeks out to the outer bays. Good luck and Good Fishing Roan z.
