Wet and Wild Fishing

Capt. Joey Benko
May 28, 2018
Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

This past weeks weather has been filled with lots of rain but some great fishing. From snook in the passes to tarpon in the backcountry get out early and work your way around the storms to have a blast. Here is Jerry with one stud of a snook he caught last week.

Redfish can be found roaming the incoming tide under the mangroves. Using shrimp or pilchards with split shots would be your best techniques.

Naples Fishing Forecast:

With Alberto passing let hope that we slip back into a normal fishing pattern. It will take some time for the bait to come back to the area as rough as the gulf had become with the storm. Don't be afraid to experiment into the artificials using spool techs and live target baits for success.

Target Species:

Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Trout, Jacks
