Today, was a beautiful Sunday with low winds, blue skies, and yes it was cold...but real fisherman, don't really care.

The cold, windy, and sometimes rainy weather recently has had a chilling effect on fishing. The flip side is the boat ramps are less crowded! On the few days in between fronts it is still worthwhile to wet a line.

Jacksonville Fishing Report for Amelia Island & Mayport - 1/30/07 - Trouts Closing for 28 days...I needed to get me some!!!!!
(solo R&D trip for the fun of it, and that's what I had...FUN)
Down right chilly today. I was maxed out with the fleece outer wear.
Immediately had my Trout limit of 5 from 15 more...

The weather remains confused with almost spring like conditions prevailing in between fronts. The water temps are ranging between 60 to 66 degrees.

The water temperature is ranging from 58 to 60 degrees. The sheephead are biting fairly well on both fiddlers and live shrimp fished on 1/8 0z. jigheads along the jetty rocks. Some are good size and all are excellent table f more...
