Orlando - Freshwater Fishing Report
Harris Chain
Water Temperature: 74
Water Clarity: 1 foot
Today was a day of scouting out on the Harris Chain. We started the day out working the 2 canals off Little Lake Harris, flipping the grass patches and lily pads catching a few on Craws and spinner baits.
Around 10am we hit the flooded timber, grass patches and lily pads on Little Lake Harris, the water had warmed up enough to try for the top water bite. Working the lily pads with Flappin Shads and flukes was the way to go in the pads. Working them semi fast on the surface and up on a pad and letting it twitch on the pad itself, then pulling it off the pad, the bass would blow up on them.
Most all were in the 2 to 3.5 pound range, good solid bass, very healthy looking. Heavy braided lines were used to land them, and land them we did, total for the day was 17 bass and 2 brownies>mud fish<
This is the time of year everyone has been waiting for, some good solid topwater action, and now its here, so jump onboard for some serious topwater action.
Dont forget, starting May 1st the $250,000 Trophy Bass Challenege kicks in, dont miss out.
Till my next report, tight lines and great fishing.
