Orlando, FL - Lake Toho, Clermont Chain & The Kissimmee Chain

Capt. Tim Fey
July 23, 2005
Orlando - Freshwater Fishing Report

Butler Chain

Water Temperature: 87

Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Today we were out on Butler Chain once again. Fishing has bee great on the chain our last couple trips out there. Water is still high, but very clean.

Todays trip was a 4 hour run with my tournament partner, both of us need a day of rest and Butler Chain was supposed to be the place, but instead the bass had something a little different in mind for us.

Baits used today were Horny Toads,Horny Toads and more Horny Toads. Top water action was all we needed today, colors didnt seem to matter at all, boating 4 quick bass in a 35 foot stretch. Working them thru lily pads, along side cypress trees and even in the open waters, were the grass beds are 2 feet underwater but visibile was key. In all 18 bass were boated and only one was not of keeper size which made for a great day on the water.

Till my next report, tight lines and great fishing
