Orlando - Freshwater Fishing Report
Lake Toho
Water Temperature: 80
Water Clarity: Not reported
The past week has been met with with mixed weather conditions. Friday was an excellent day temperature wise, but made for a windy one at times with the storm system the cruised up the Atlantic. Fishing was sporadic, 2 being caught on white spinnerbaits around Laniers point couple more off Matkinsons Island flipping heavy Hydrilla beds using Kicker Kraws in Watermellon Red color.
During this week, several nice bass made it over the side of the boat flipping Kicker Kraws and Bird Dawgs,Hydrilla beds, reed stands and scattered grass patches have been excellent producers, Carolina rigged snakes brought thru reeds and grass beds yielded several bass to 7 pounds. Cooling water temps have been turning the bass on very good, several scattered shad busts have made for some great action and the bass have been feeding heavily on them, as we have caught several that have become to resemble small footballs as of late.
We are closing in on Fall, which will mean cooler weather and great topwater action. Dont forget, the Big Toho Open has kicked off, so you have a chance at a cool grand each week for big bass of the week so dont miss out on the action.
Till my next report, tight lines and great fishing!!
