Orlando - Freshwater Fishing Report
Clermont Chain
Water Temperature: 82
Water Clarity: Not reported
Spent a few hour back on Clermont Chain today,River had good flow to it so i started out with a frog to see if we could muster up a topwater bite, had several blow on the frog, and 2 even swatted it out of the water but no hookup. Proceeded to toss the frog, when it got missed i was chunking a rattle trap behind it and would pick up a few that missed, managed 6 in the river, 2 before lake Wilson and the other 4 in the river between Wilson and Cook.
Ran into another angler who said he didn't even muster up a hit on Lake Cherry so i stayed in Cook for about 45 minutes and managed one 3 pounder off the edge of the pads flippin a Kicker Kraw in watermellon red.
From there i went into Emerald Lakes, flippin tight to weeds along the edge and managed 2 more to 4 pounds. Bite was a little on the slow side with the biggest being the 4 pounder, saw a good shad bust up on Cook which looked to be schoolies in 1-2 pound range, not what we were looking for,but always a good sign.
Till my next report, tight lines and great fishing
