Orlando, FL - Lake Toho, Clermont Chain & The Kissimmee Chain

Orlando - Freshwater Fishing Report

Butler Chain

Tuesday the 27 we were out on Butler chain of lakes.

With great weather other than a little bit cooler than normal, we had great hopes for some good action.

We had Danny and his son out for a mixture of shiner fishing and some artificial lures.

Starting the day out on Lake Chase produced 2 nice bass but they were not active enough to make us happy so we moved over to Lake Down, and this was a very good choice for the day. Picking up a few bass here and there with shiners, Danny started tossing around a Rapala and was rewarded with a very nice and solid 6 pounder, using 8 pound test line made for a great battle which resulted in pictures being taken and the bass being released for the next angler to catch.

Hard jerkbaits have been a great ticket to catching quality bass out on Butler and one of the top producers has been the Shad Rap.

Till my next report, tight lines and great fishing
