Palm Beach Jupiter Inshore Report

Capt. Craig Korczynski
August 31, 2022
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tropical air! Amazing how the humidity has been magnified the past week. Hot and steamy has been the daily routine, water temperatures are rising but the fish are still chewing.

Higher water temperatures in the ICW and along the coast have pushed bait schools around. The snook are following these baits along the beaches and inlets. Snook are striking live baits and DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail in Arkansas glow on a 1/2oz jig head. Smaller snook are being found along jetties, bigger snook are lurking near drop offs in search of there next meal. Docks and sea walls great areas to find snook as well as points and mangrove edges. Find moving water and the snook will eat live baits, DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail rigged weedless and Rapala X raps.

Tarpon action has been consistent on both sides of the tides. The higher tides, tarpon get a little picky do to the clear water. Live baits, light leaders, and smaller hooks solve the issue at times. The inlets are holding the larger tarpon but my favorite and many anglers as well, smaller tarpon in the 20-60 pound class. Silver kings active along channel edges and mangrove shorelines, present live bait, fly or DOA terror Eyz and the struggle is real.

Big jacks, mackeral, bluefish, moonfish, sharks and many other species are being caught near structures and channel edges. Many of these species are schoolers so once you catch one, the action is consistent for a while. Many anglers enjoy top water action witnessing jacks and bluefish crashing the surface for awesome takes.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
