Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summer has arrived! Heat is on and so is the bite for anglers inshore and nearshore. Longer days allow for anglers to target fish longer, morning and evening provide cooler temperatures.
Summer patterns for snook are in effect. Passes, beaches, docks and mangrove shorelines are holding fish and bait. Bait schools great sign snook are in vicinity. Live baits, DOA 3" shad tail and Rapala x raps go to baits.
Tarpon fishing is heating up! Silver kings are roaming channels, sea walls and beaches. Anglers can have great success targeting tarpon on both sides of tide using live baits. Artificial enthusiasts DOA terror eyz and Rapala x raps great baits to get the silver kings striking.
Schooling Jack crevalle are crashing boat schools along mangroves and docks. The jacks are ranging in size from 1 to 20 pounds. Jacks will strike live bait and DOA shad tail Rapala skitter walks. Sharks are abundant following the schools of jacks, anglers enjoy the drag screaming runs sharks provide. Black tips, bulls, lemons and nurse sharks are willing to eat.
