Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Palm Beach & Jupiter Inshore Fishing Report
October 13, 2026 | Capt. Craig Korczynski
Snook
Snook fishing has been steady around seawalls, docks, and mangrove shorelines, with live bait producing consistent action. With the high water we've been experiencing around the new moon, the middle of the outgoing tide and the beginning of the incoming tide have been the best windows.
Live mullet rigged on a 3/0 Mustad circle hook with 30-pound Ande Ghost leader, paired with a Daiwa 3000 reel and a medium-action rod, gets the job done. For artificial enthusiasts, the DOA Bait Buster and DOA 4-inch jerk bait have been producing strikes.
Tarpon
Tarpon are abundant in the bays and along channel edges, ranging from 10 to 100 pounds. Over the past week, anglers have had plenty of fun jumping these fish, but landing them has been a challenge. Explosive strikes, powerful runs, and acrobatic leaps have kept everyone busy!
A Daiwa BG 4000 paired with a medium-action rod, 40-pound Ande Ghost leader, and a 4/0 Mustad circle hook has been our setup. For the bigger fish, we're stepping up to a BG 5000 to help slow them down.
Jack Crevalle
Jacks are abundant throughout the Intracoastal Waterway. Open bays, seawalls, docks, and mangrove shorelines are all great places to find these schooling fish.
Live bait and a Rapala Skitter V worked across the surface have been drawing aggressive strikes. Watching a jack charge a topwater bait is enough to get any angler excited!
Spanish Mackerel & Bluefish
Spanish mackerel and bluefish have also been abundant as mullet schools continue moving through our local waters. These toothy predators have left plenty of anglers empty-handed, cutting leaders or biting baits in half.
For those getting fish to the boat, Spanish mackerel have been ranging from 14 to 24 inches, with bluefish weighing 2 to 8 pounds.
Well, that's the fishing report for the past week. Hope y'all enjoyed! Remember, you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines!
