Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Palm Beach & Jupiter Inshore Fishing Report

Snook fishing has been great along mangrove edges and docks. Fish are gathering near drop-offs where the tide and current sweep baitfish through. Water temperatures have dropped about 2 degrees over the past week, and snook are beginning to move into canals, bays, and flats. Live bait and the DOA 4-inch Jerk Bait have been great options for enticing strikes.
Tarpon fishing has been slow this past week. There are plenty of fish around, but getting them to strike has been a challenge. The tarpon willing to eat have been taking live mullet freelined naturally with the tide.
Jack crevalle, Spanish mackerel, and bluefish have been schooling along channel edges where the current is strong. These fish have kept anglers busy, striking live bait and DOA 3-inch Shad Tails. For anglers looking for topwater explosions, a Rapala Skitter V can deliver drag-screaming action!
With the dirty water and high winds we've had over the past few days, bottom fishing has been a productive tactic—especially for kids. One of my groups caught 210 fish in four hours across 11 species, including snapper, grunts, runners, jacks, ladyfish, and many others. This action keeps anglers busy and puts plenty of smiles on their faces.
That's the report for the past week. Hope you all enjoyed it! Remember, you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up!
Tight lines!
