Palm beach Jupiter salt and freshwater report

Capt. Craig Korczynski
February 11, 2020
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sunny south Florida has a great Inshore nite going on. Snook, tarpon, drum, snapper, jacks and many other species are chewing.

The snook fishing has been outstanding near mangrove edges, channel edges and around docks. Top water rapala skitter walks are creating explosive strikes. Snook are schooling up along channel edges making the DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail the perfect bait to get the strike. Match the baits in the area and the bite is on.

Tarpon are being found along mangrove shorelines and drop offs. The DOA Terror Eyz has been the go to bait for the silver king, small profile slow presentation is the key to getting the strike. The tarpon have been averaging 5 to 30 pounds in the back bays.

The channel edges and deep holes are abundant with a variety of species mackeral, jacks, pompano, bluefish, snook, snapper and many others. Jigs tipped with shrimp will get the drag screaming.

The freshwater bite has been good, peacock bass have been hanging on deeper holes and near bridge pilings. Clown knife fish are also beer deep edges and bridges. Largemouth bass and sunshine bass are being caught near shad schools using small rapala crank baits and DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch. So get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! PhlatsInshoreFishing.com, 561-644-4371. Visit us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.com
