Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report
September has arrived and the mullet run will soon begin in the palm beaches. The bite has been great but soon the mullet show will begin.
The snook bite has been great along beaches and and in the inlets. Rapala twitchin mullet and DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail have been the go to baits for artificial. Live baits also work for snook. The snook have been ranging in size form 3 to 25 pounds.
Tarpon are abundant giving anglers plenty of rod bending action. The tarpon have been talking live baits and DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail. Schooling tarpon can bee seem along the beaches offering great sight fishing for anglers.
For those looking for a variety of species to target, sharks, jacks, snapper, lady fish, drum and many others are abundant. Channel edges, docks and mangrove shorelines all great areas to locate species.
Peacock bass fishing has been on fire, schooling peas are striking fast moving lures like Rapala twitch baits and DOA C.A.L. Curl tail. Peacock bass can be sight fished near banks and under docks. Anglers sing light tackle and fly gear can expect a great fish with many of the peacock bass ranging in size form 1 to 6 pounds.
