Palm Beach Jupiter Saltwater and Freshwater Report

Capt. Craig Korczynski
March 23, 2019
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

March has produced unreliable weather conditions and water levels this month do to full moom have been super high making conditions tough to fish during high tide.

Rising water temperatures equals great snook action. Snook are just about everywhere you look. Docks, seawalls and flats are teaming with schoolie snook and big female snook. Live baits and DOA artificial lures produce strikes. The average size of the snook have been from 5 to 25 pounds. Sight fishing for snook is a blast and can easily make an angler tremble and knees buckle, as nerves take over, this is what fishing is all about.

Mangrove shorelines and seawalls have been producing great black drum action. Black drum relies on scent, anglers using shrimp, clams, and crabs have best results, but and flies also work. The key to drum fishing is patients and great vision these fish blend in well with their surroundings. The average size of the drum has been 5 to 20 pounds.

Freshwater action has been stellar in local lakes and canals. Bridges and channels were water has current produces bass, knife fish and peacock bass. Live baits and DOA terror eyz great baits to get the strike

Well that is the fishing report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! Capt. Craig Korczynski, PhlatsInshoreFishing.com, 561-644-437. Visit us on Facebook, Instagram, twitter and youtube.
