Fishing is HOT HOT HOT!

Capt. Mark Bosler

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

I took a nice family from Texas out today and lets just say they got plenty to eat and a little more. The Spanish mackeral were absolutely everywhere in the bay, just find the birds diving and look for the Spanish darting across the top of the water. The sheephead action is still on fire in the pass, the females have finished spawning and are very eager to eat. The redfish bite has also been good in the pass on the incoming and outgoing tides just as long as you have moving water.
I got a chance to get out and look for some Cobia today as well. I didn't see one today although my brother saw one about 40lbs to the east today it was a non eater. I did see several schools of big Bonita up on the sandbar as well as a couple big bull sharks looking for something to eat. But overall the fishing is definitely hot right now. The pompano should be here any day now as should the Cobia.

Target Species:

redfish, sheephead, spanish mackeral, cobia
