Light tackle Offshore Fishing in Panama City, FL

Capt. Todd Jones
August 23, 2014
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather is about as hot as I can remember it being. Fortunately for us so is the fishing. WE are still getting limits of Amberjack every trip. I can keep you hooked up to big Amberjacks until you cry uncle. Which for most people it's about 2 and a half…that 3rd one kicks their butt. For other fish to put in the box we are catching Black Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Almaco Jacks, and King Mackerel.

Looks like we are going to get a little cooler weather next week, and I am ready for it to get here.

Good Luck and be Safe on the water,

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
