Light Tackle Offshore Fishing in Panama City, FL

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report
The weather and fishing has been outstanding the last few weeks. Everything from bottom fishing for Snapper to Trolling for Kings, Sailfish, and Mahi has been very productive. With The Red Snapper season closed I have begin focusing on the other Snappers and reef fish. The Vermillion, White, Lane, and Black Snapper population is healthy and are a blast to catch when they are targeted using the right tackle. One of these big Lane Snapper or for that matter a big White Snapper on a 4000spinning reel loaded with 15#braid will pull every bit as much as a Red Snapper on the tackle most people use. The bag limit is very liberal on theses other Snapper, with that being said you should only keep what you need for a couple of meals. The fishing should only get better the next couple of week, so get down here and enjoy the fantastic fishing the Emerald coast has to offer.
Thanks,
Capt Todd Jones
