Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

What can you say about a couple in town for a few days, only one to fish, and bad weather? Good job! Thats what I say! We hit a lot of spots here and there with live shrimp. Spots that normally hold sheeps and reds this time of year. We missed a few of each. Tough fishing with the wind howling 20 plus over our shoulders pushing the lines around making it tough to feel the fish.
We ended up in a good trout spot catching some nice keepers on live shrimp and some on DOA and popping corks later in the morning.
Take a look:

Trout really turn on just before these fronts. If you can get your bait in front of a school you can get some good ones. My hat off to Mike and Darlene for hanging in there and catching some good fish. Hope they were good on the grill.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

When this blow is over the fishing on the beach and around the pass will explode. You will be able to catch your limit of spanish, catch sheeps and reds in the pass, pompano along and beach and the elusive cobia should become not so elusive. Southeast blows in the spring is what makes the fishing great.
Target Species:

Reds, trout...spanish and cobia later in the month.
